I've seen this view so many times in summer and in winter, and it never ceases to amaze me. Definitely a must-do if you're in the Tahoe Vista / Carnelian Bay area.

Aaaahhh...Apres Ski at Garwoods in Carnelian Bay. Garwoods serves a drink called the "Wet Woody" which is a tasty, blended, fruity drink that's really strong! We got a pitcher to share, and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and watching UCLA upset USC on one of the three 32" LCD screens in the corners of the room. Garwoods is the perfect place to go after a day of snowboarding or skiing. The sunset light hitting the eastern range of Lake Tahoe is incredible (see next post).
